Rag & Bone Are the New Kids on Melrose Block

Joining the likes of the newly opened Topshop showroom, American retailer Rag & Bone has just opened their first west coast location on Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood.
American brand Rag & Bone has a presence overseas and primarily on the East Coast, but now they are making themselves known on the West Coast. The brand whose home is based in New York has just opened their first location in West Hollywood, California.
The store is laid out with two-levels of store with a showroom and their location was selected due to the conveniently placed adjacent parking. Unlike their previous locations where they moved into older buildings, Rag & Bone was able to strip the location down to redecorate to their liking. While similar to their other stores, California's focus on casual dressing determined that the new location would have a unique section dedicated to men's and women's jeans.
Rag & Bone is beginning to expand their retail presence across the U.S. After California, they look to explore other big American locations like Chicago and San Francisco and open another California location that has a jean focus. The Californian location is projected to produce at least $5 million in first-year sales after comparable stores have increased 100% over the last year.
Hopefully after the first opening of their West Coast location, Rag & Bone will become as common as they are in New York as they are in California. The state itself takes up a majority of the West Coast minus Oregon and Washington, so the terrain is a little more expansive to takeover. But thankfully like any new neighbor, a laid-back version of hospitality will grow within the NYC transplant and before you know it, Rag & Bone will be more relaxed than ever.
