Beware of Mourning Twilight Fans, Robert Pattinson for Dior is Just a Rumor

Do you hear that? It's millions of Twilight and Robert Pattinson fans mourning the loss of a potential Dior campaign starring the actor. To our mutual dismay, the rumors that R-Patz was to be the new face of Dior men's fragrances were just that.
When we received word yesterday morning that Robert Pattinson may have signed a $12 million deal with Dior to be the new face of men's fragrances, we jumped at the opportunity to spread the word. Unfortunately according to the Hollywood Reporter, Dior has confirmed that Robert Pattinson did not in fact sign a contract with the iconic fashion house.
If Robert had signed that deal with Dior, his salary would have surpassed the $7 million Brad Pitt got for famously rambling nonsense about Chanel No. 5. While a fragrance deal still may be in the works for the actor, it has not come to surface yet. While he is a fan of the label Dior, his true admiration resides with Gucci in whom he has often been seen in head-to-toe. Throughout his tour for Cosmopolis, the actor kept each of his suits featured in the film by the label and wore them on the press tour.
So now Twilight super fans will have to wait to purchase their accompanying fragrance to Kristen Stewart's Florabotanica for Balenciaga and just continue to stalk the couple's on -again-off-again relationship. So while these so called "reports" had no physical signed contract to back them up, our disappointment will just counter the anticipation that we had for the chance to smell like Robert Pattinson.
If you can't wait for the Robert Pattinson cologne, then you could at least test out what it would be like to smell like Edward Cullen. In a clever marketing move from the Twilight camp, you can purchase the perfume Immortal to counter any sadness you may experience from the lack of Dior men's cologne campaigns.
