Ryan Lochte is Covering New York Fashion Week for E!

Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte is about to become a little more than just a gold medal wearing pair of pecs in a speedo. The aspiring fashion designer is reportedly joining Kim Kardashian on the E! Network as he helps report on New York Fashion Week.
When we first started seeing Ryan Lochte's name in the news for the Olympics, we knew that he'd be staying much longer than after the Spice Girls spiced up our lives at the closing ceremony. Although little did we know that the swimmer had many more aspirations that just peeing in the Olympic pools. Ryan Lochte was quoted saying that his "lifelong dream was to become a fashion designer" and for Lochte that lifelong dream may be as achievable as becoming an olympic medal winning athlete.
Lochte has confirmed the rumors of a possible fashion line and upcoming reality TV show, but what's shocking the fashion industry is that he will be covering New York Fashion Week for the E! Channel. After his appearance with Joan Rivers on E!'s show Fashion Police, this seems like a more logical career jump for Lochte to make.
Lochte sat front row at the New York Public Library for Joseph Abboud's Spring 2013 presentation yesterday evening. When asked about his upcoming clothing line, we learned that it would be coming "sooner (rather) than later" and that it will be similar to "Ralph Lauren, but with a little edge to it".
This statement is more reassuring than his previous fashion line descriptions that used every adjective available. And while the bro-tastic athlete continues to win over the hearts of the public, the fashion industry will prove to be a tougher egg to crack. But maybe (you didn't hear this from us) Lochte may be more legitimate that we originally thought, but that depends only if Fashion Week critiques involve saying more than "Jeah Jeah".
