SMYTHE Wants You to Go Back to School Fighting Bullies

Aug 27, 2012 - by Amanda Gabriele

If you know SMYTHE, you're aware of the Canadian jacket label's fabulously tailored, timeless pieces. Now as fall approaches and the kids are going back to school, the brand introduces a playful take on the traditional schoolboy blazer that fights bullying one brass button at a time.

Dubbed the Warbler Tribute Jacket, this black and garnet, 3/4 sleeve blazer from Smythe's Fall 2012 collection looks good while making a difference. In a nod to the social and gender equality themes addressed on Glee, a portion of proceeds from each blazer sold will be donated to anti-bullying initiatives in the United States and Canada.

We designed this special edition blazer as a tribute to all those who fight against ignorance and intolerance, said Andrea Lenczner and Christie Smythe, co-founders of SMYTHE. We were inspired by Christies brother, Thomas Smythe, who produced the It Gets Better Campaign in Canada last year."
