Lohan's Return to The Big Screen Looks Like a "B" Movie We Might Enjoy

The last trailer for Lindsay Lohan's triumphant return to the big screen looked more like a tourist overview of Los Angeles. Thankfully the newest trailer for the Bret Easton Ellis penned film The Canyons looks more promising minus the lack of dialogue and porn-star James Deen starring in an actual acting role that doesn't require his male parts.
Looking at Lindsay Lohan's career is like watching at a car wreck. You feel terrible for the people involved, but you can't seem to look away. And that's the main reason as to why we are excited to see Lohan's triumphant return to the big screen since 2010's Machete in The Canyons.
Penned by Bret Easton Ellis of American Psycho fame, the new film looks to be a throwback to the 1970s grind house genre. Director Paul Schrader has created a contemporary film noir taking place in Los Angeles that portrays a story of young people obsessed with sex. Along those lines, it makes sense to star Lohan along with the porn star James Deen in his first commercial film.
The trailer mimics the tone of cheap grind house films and we hope that the clever editing isn't the only selling point. Lohan always seems to select films t hat look like they could be great, but are ultimately always disappointing. So let's keep our fingers crossed that Lohan and Deen can deliver the lines that Ellis has written because normally don't get our hopes up, but we're going out on a limb here. So don't let us down Lilo.
