THE DAILY GASP: Kate Moss for Vogue Paris

Nov 30, 2011 - by Lester Brathwaite

Kate Moss has done Davie Bowie for a Vogue cover before, lest we remind you of this stunner from Vogue UK's May 2003 issue. And god (i.e. Anna Wintour) knows Vogue Paris covers have only been decent to pretty good since Emmanuelle Alt took over the reins earlier this year, but nothing quite gasp-worthy.

Then under the buzzer, this happens. By referencing/recycling that eight-year-old cover and giving it their own spin, Alt and co. end the year on a decidedly high note.  Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott capture Moss in glam rock Ziggy Stardust regalia for FrenchVogue's December/January 2012 issue. Freak out, this moonage daydream's so chic.
