As his first retail location outside of the United States, designer Thom Browne is set to open his store in Tokyo, Japan. 

Residing next to Comme Des Garçons and Acne, the future Japanese flagship of designer Thom Browne is his first outside of the United States. With a design similar to his New York City store located in TriBeCa, the designer is creating his design concept with the interior company that created boutiques such as Colette in Paris.

To be located in the Minami-Aoyoma district, which is the home to higher-end and cutting edge boutiques, this store will be the beginning of Thom Browne's presence in Asia. The look and merchandise of the store is to be chosen by Browne, while Japanese retail operator Cross Co. will run the actual store.

While Thom Browne is an American designer, he sure looks like he could show at London Fashion Week. Check out some other designers that could easily be British.
