Congratulations Tom Ford! The head designer of Gucci and his long-time partner Richard Buckley are announcing the birth of their first son Alexander John Buckley Ford today. 

This morning LOVE Magazine had some exciting news to share. Designer Tom Ford and partner of 25 years Richard Buckley welcomed their first child into the world. Alexander John Buckley Ford was born in Los Angeles on September 23rd  to the happy fashion pair.

Tom Ford, 51, and Richard Buckley, 64, are new daddies as they announced the birth of their first son today. The couple met when Ford was just 25 and Buckley was the editor-in-chief of Vogue Hommes International when he was 38. Ford was quoted saying that when his personal life included children, they would be kept out of the public eye.

Ford elaborates, "And no one will ever see the child because I certainly wouldnt use it as a press tool. If I have a child, you wont notice that I had a child. Maybe youll see it when its 18, but I will keep it out of the spotlight."

So we're thinking we'll have to wait about 18 years until we can catch a snapshot of Ford's new bundle of joy, but photographed or not we're positive this newborn is going to give toddler fashionistas like Suri Cruise a run for her money. Hopefully one of Tom's or Richard's fashion genes was passed along to young Alexander because we see a fashion progeny in the making.
