Will Wearing The Color Red Make You More Successful?

Want to score that next promotion? Want to chum up to your boss? The route to success may just lie in your next clothing choice.   According to Business Insider, red is the color to wear in order to impress or persuade someone in the work place.  Find out why after the jump.

A mantra they've been touting for 15 years, the color red supposedly makes others see you as someone who is "focused, committed, and trustworthy", says Kenny Frimpong, brand marketing & development manager at high end Italian clothing store Eredi Pisano.  Based on the fact that their average suit costs about $4,000, they might be correct.  He went on to say that to appear "highly disciplined" you should wear a blue or red tie against a navy or gray suit, since they are all very serious colors.  Now we normally associate the color red with glamazons on the red carpet, but in the boardroom maybe the color works differently.  Have any of your ever worn red to a business meeting or a job interview and had a different kind of experience?
