Now that watching Sex and the City reruns on TBS has become a regular habit of mine, Ive come to notice something that somehow escaped me the first time around. Maybe it was the glamour and allure of the New York City backdrop, but, besides the fact that Carrie is a complete idiot, Ive realized just how truly ugly her outfits were. And yet, it has made a celebrity out stylist Patricia feeling-herself-too-much Field who quite frankly, at her age needs a little Stacy and Clinton in her life. Having been responsible for Carries signature haphazard style has for whatever reason has spurred Patricia-mania, and I have yet to buy the hype. But I digress.

Some may say Carries wardrobe was eclectic, unique, even groundbreaking. And yes, there were moments when I literally salivated over a well put together, chic ensemble. But nine times out of ten, the clothes were nonsensical and excessive, if not schizophrenic. Ill admit its gotten better over the years, and with movie number two on the way I can only hope Carries outfits arent as skittish as her relationship with Big.
