Zadig + Voltaire Ban "Chinese Tourists" from their Parisian Hotel

Womens Wear Daily reported this morning that Zadig + Voltaire were renovating the space they showed during Paris Fashion Week into a high end hotel. Only catch is, they will select their own guests and those don't include "Chinese tourists".
After Zadig + Voltaire's runway presentation at Paris Fashion Week, founder Thierry Gillier announced that they would renovate the presentation space into a high end hotel. Located in Paris's Left Bank, the hotel is slated to open come 2014. The hotel will cater to exclusive guests, but reportedly not to the Chinese.
Wait, what? Joelle Diderich quoted the founder saying, "We are going to select guests. It won't be open to Chinese tourists, for example. There is a lot of demand in Paris many people are looking for quiet hotels with a certain privacy."
Gosh, ain't nothing like a quaint racist hotel for your stay in the most romantic city in the world. The article has since been edited replacing "Chinese" with "boatloads of tourists", but the damage has already been done.
Coverage in Women's Wear Daily got the hotel off to a great start. Unfortunately there's three times as much bad press about their racist reservation policies as opposed to buzz about the hotel. Looks like we'll be staying else where in the City of Lights, sorry we're not sorry.
