Feeding the self-absorption trend that Facebook and Twitter so nefariously instigated, Diesel has made it possible to personalize your denim, flaunting your name, initials or short message for the entire world of butt-starers to see. Ok, so I know Facebook and Twitter accounts are free, but if you really love yourself as much as your bi-half-hourly status updates indicate, $10 for self-advertising isn’t exactly breaking the bank. The etching machine, with lasers that burn text on either the inside or outside of the waistband, resides at Diesel’s 5th Ave flagship store and is the only one like it in the United States. So while you’re splurging on luxury denim, treat yourself to a little personalization and the conversation pieces for the next few months!
