RUNWAY RUNDOWN: Giles Fall 2009 For his Fall 2009 collection, Giles Deacon took us on a time machine tour of his design history. Not only reviving the circular leather skirt from his graduation show at Central Saint Martins, Deacon even reintroduced the runway to knit pieces he did just over a year ago. To put it simply, if you aren’t an avid Giles Deacon follower, the designer was his own inspiration, recreating some of his favorite moments for the fall. The collection, a bit less ready-to-wear than previous seasons, has certainly set the London stage for inspirationally, structurally and aesthetically defying the runway rules.
