RUNWAY RUNDOWN: Josh Goot Fall 2009 Oh, Josh Goot, you ROCK! No…seriously. With a Fall 2009 collection inspired by geology, Goot took to the organic lines of stone to produce dozens of concretely natural looking garments. Black, cream and gray colorblocked, suits, skits, coats and button-ups took to the runway. Embodying the ripple effect of rock formations , Goot even added ripple and wrinkle decorated pieces to the mix. Ending the show on a high and mighty note, Goot sent out his magazine collage-esque speckled prints, an eye-pleasing commotion which incorporated both the hard edge of the colorblocking technique as well as the ripple effect.
