Runway Rundown: Ossie Clark
So now that New York Fashion Week has come to an end, we must move onto London. Here is the re-invented Ossie Clark label’s presentation. The label was re-invented earlier this year with Israeli-born, Saint Martin’s-trained designer Avsh Alom Gur.
A little background, Ossie Clark was the premiere designer to the rock n’ roll elite during the 1960’s and 1970’s. He was known for his gauzy-crazy prints, which were actually done by his wife Celia Birtwell-who still designs textiles.
What do you think? Just seems like another designer doing his own thing under the guise of someone else’s former glory.
