RUNWAY RUNDOWN: Preen Fall 2009
In comparison to previous collections, Preen’s Fall 2009 collection was one of the less impressive. Preen designers Thea Bregazzi and Justin Thornton based the season’ fashions on the films Quadrophenia and Blade Runner, explaining the obnoxious houndstooth pattern and some of the apron-esque pieces. The swirly pastel pieces as well as the optical-illusion patterns seemed like very amateur choices for such an established line. While I was a huge fan of the 80’s inspired cut out body-con dresses, they didn’t fit in the collection leaving me begging for more of these looks.
