RUNWAY RUNDOWN: Rodarte S/S 10
It’s safe to say that Kate and Laura Mulleavy’s Spring 2010 Rodarte collection was a stress release. They ripped, tore and destroyed to their heart’s content taking their glamorous grungy appeal and increasing it tenfold. This season was all about confidence in flaws, and isn’t it obvious with all the sloppy, yet precise, draping and unique tears? While I did appreciate a grubbier vibe from Rodarte, I was a bit distracted by the arm tattoos and felt that the collection would have spoken louder sans the body art.
