I am personally just looking to enjoy the storyline and consider the fashion an added bonus. I don't think they are saying that a. all of NY dresses like that nor b. so should we all but it must have something to do with why Access Hollywood asked me to replicate every single look in the 2nd group picture you posted (Carrie in pink shirt) They (AH) were completely trying to get everyone on board with mimicking the outfits.
