Simon Doonan has been called many things in his life. “The fox-crazy impresario of Barneys’ notorious windows”? True. Gay? Definitely. Style Icon? Yes, but he’s not quite sure that’s accurate. ”I read a column once where they called me a style icon and thought they were out of their minds thinking no one wants to look like me.
