If you’ve been reading my beauty articles you probably know by now that SMASHBOX cosmetics is one of my favorite makeup brands. Their eye illusion is a product that I have to keep stocked in my makeup kit at all times. SMASHBOX EYE ILLUSION is a quad of shimmering iridescent pastel colors that will change any eye shadow color to a new hue. You can also use it alone for more of a shimmer effect. I love that I can use it so many different ways on both women and men clients.

When I am pushed for time with a female celebrity and have to give her a new look within 5 mins, I’ll pull out the eye illusion. Using a eye shadow brush I lightly pat one of the four colors (white, green, pink, lavender) over the old eye shadow and it will just give it a new look. The only thing you would need to touch up is the eye liner that will also have a different look. I also like to use the white iridescent as a highlight color on the eyes as well as on the cheek bones on women. On men, I use it to open up their eyes to give them a fresh look especially if it’s an early call time.
