There have been so many sample sales recently that some are bound to be overlooked. That seems to be the case with the Thread Social sample sale on 17th Street. The scene at the brand’s Gramercy showroom was calm yesterday afternoon, with two or three shoppers browsing a small space packed wall-to-wall with dresses of all kinds. Prices ranged from $115 to $410, not including a few racks of pants and knit shirts that were marked down to $50. A bargain, but Thread Social’s signature colorful frocks were the main attraction. Although there were very few shoppers, those who did show were stocking up on dresses. For those who are interested, the sale goes all weekend, and sizes (from 2s to 10s) are widely available.—Emily Wilson
