Elle tells us how to do it in two simple rules:
1) Keep color strong
2) Stick with simple lines and soft fabric
Bright colors make a statement, without a doubt, but the only ‘rule’ you need to know is to have enough confidence to make that statement. Wearing your clothes instead of letting them wear you will allow anyone to pull off this bold look without looking like their younger sister, or grandmother.
And another note, if you’re going to go for it, you’re going to have to think about it. Not every trend can be thrown together; it takes time to find the perfect grass green, daffodil yellow, or ocean blue piece to make a statement. Choose wisely, wear confidently.
