Snap CRACKLE Pop:

Katy Perry‘s line for OPI shimmies and shakes in all the right places, kind of like my teenage dreams. She’s got the season’s splash in her color palette: Black Shatter Polish. It’s a top coat you apply that cracks apart as it dries, leaving your nails looking perfectly chipped, almost tribally printed, with another hue peeking out from beneath.

Glitter Me Bieber:

Justin Bieber has his own line of nail polish, this we know I’m sure. Remember that One Less Lonely Girl collection for Nicole by OPI sold exclusively at…Walmart? Well, it’s actually pretty flippin’ sweet (this we weren’t as sure of). He’s got the glitter, the metallic, the multi-colored sparkle. Alright, ALRIGHT! I’m a Belieber.

Holy Holographic!

Milani has taken glitter to the next dimension: 3D Holographic. This color phenomenon is based on Holographic Image Technology that makes a very thin, bright, embossed metallic flake look like a rainbow. And it comes in a dazzling array of colors.

This party in a bottle is the culmination of all the Jewel FX nail polish Milani has created. The effect of it all somehow makes me want a shot o’ tequila.

Color Block Tip:

I took two hues of Milani One Coat Glitter and layered them like a thick French. Silver Dazzle on bottom, Purple Gleam on top. Razzle up good with any colors you desire – with this much glitter you can do no wrong.

Find all the Milani goods at your local drugstore. Now go get yourself some jazz hands.

Saks Fifth Ave upped the ante in Holiday shows with their 3D awe-inspiring celebration, Snowflake and the Bubble.

Contrary to Brad Pitt’s line in Fight Club, Saks says “You ARE a unique and beautiful snowflake.”

Saks followed in Ralph Lauren’s footsteps, offering a 3D live production displayed on its building’s wall. Celebrities watched, Patti LaBelle sang, and snowflakes made sweet, sweet Holiday love.

Calvin Klein joins Gucci and Oakley in offering a more stylish movie experience.

True, they cost $180.

But designer 3D shades are way cooler than the 180 dollar tacos I was going to buy.

Burberry is to live stream its upcoming AW 2010 womenswear show in 3D at events in New York (at Skylight studios), Paris, Dubai, Tokyo and Los Angeles. The catwalk show will take place during London Fashion Week at The Chelsea College of Art in London at 4PM on 23 February 2010.

“We are very excited to announce that we are hosting the first ever truly global fashion show. We will be simultaneously live streaming our show using 3D technology directly to New York, Paris, Dubai, Tokyo and LA. This unprecedented event will enable people to experience the energy and atmosphere of this show from around the world. 3D technology will bring our global audience into the London show space allowing them to see the colours and fabrics, to hear the music and to be a part of that moment when it all finally comes together.” – Christopher Bailey.

Susie Bubble took some time to talk about Marios Schwab’s latest collection, a mix of printed dresses with 3-D images on them. We weren’t impressed. Seriously Schwab, if you’re going to enter a third dimension can you at least make sure your prints are of something we want to see popping out at us, say like a Tiger (oh scary), a fist (watch out now!!!) or a giant pair of bodascious tatas!!! (I’d prefer the last although combing the three might make for the ulitmate sensory experience, eh?)

Either way, the collection seems to require the kind of gimmick that Schwab introduced cause as a whole, it was unmemorable. You can check out Susie’s snaps of the show and judge for yourself. Be sure to leave comments if you think I’m a totally idiot for talking smackage.
