CEO and creative director of Guess Paul Marciano chose Schiffer to front the 30th anniversary campaign based on the impact her original ad had on not only the company, but on pretty much everyone. “She was a turning point of Guess, she was a turning point of Ellen’s career, Guess was a turning point of a life for Claudia,” he told WWD.

The shot of Schiffer in a lace bustier, tussled tresses and gold hoops set the blueprint for all future Guess ads and according to Marciano, “made her career” and subsequently “made Guess a different company. Everybody talked about the Guess Girl.”

Schiffer, for her part, was happy to wax nostalgic with Marciano and Unwerth. “Guess will always have a soft spot in my heart, and I’m excited that 23 years later we can still work together so successfully,” the super said. Meanwhile, can we talk about how at 41 — which is 1002 in model years — Schiffer has aged nary a day? They just don’t make supermodels like they used to, i.e. in a lab somewhere in Switzerland.

The Guess 30th Anniversary Collection will include T-shirts bedazzled with images of Gost and Smith — sign me up for the latter, thanks — a sheer leopard-print blouse and the three-zipper Marilyn jeans that introduced the brand to the world. The 15-piece collection will retail for between $39 and $138 and will hit stores April 24. [WWD, sub req'd]

Though for a cover that boasts and toasts the end of minimalism, her makeup is awfully minimal. Sure the collar is over the top, and Adriana Lima needs little to nothing on her face to make her stun, but if we’re talking “Maximum Effect”, than Vogue Brasil, perhaps you should have maximized.

Chanel Iman told Modelinia she tries to gain weight before a show. “I have a big potluck at my house. All my friends bring over food and we barbecue and party it up!”

Holler girl. What about Lima’s intense regimen? Six weeks before a show, she works out twice a day and eats only lean protein and green vegetables with an occasional protein shake or cereal bar for a snack. Nine days before, she goes on an all-liquid diet, replacing real food with protein shakes. Then a mere 12 hours before a show, she stops drinking all liquids completely, including water.

Carrie Underwood: “When I gain weight, it’s in the spare-tire area. I’ve told trainers abs are a physical impossibility for me. And every single time, they’re like, ‘Well, we’ll get you abs!’ So do I have them? No! But they’re as flat as they’re probably going to get. Push-ups work out everything. If you do them right, you’ll feel it in your abs. I do four sets of 10 to 20.”

Jessica Alba: Alba does this all-over toning move: Begin standing and holding 5lb dumbbells – your left arm should be chin height and your right arm should be extended to the ceiling. Take a giant step to your right, landing in a lunge, with your right knee bent and angled slightly forward. Keep your left leg straight while simultaneously lowering right arm to shoulder height. Pause momentarily, then push off your right leg, returning to the starting position with your feet together and right arm extended to ceiling. Perform 12 reps then repeat on left side. Perform 2 sets.

Cheryl Cole: While in girl band Girls Aloud Cheryl lost a lot of weight, and this was mostly down to the hectic schedule and continuous rehearsals and gigs, which simply meant she was burning a lot of calories doing dance workouts. Cheryl would often perform this fitness routine, as devised by the bands personal trainer: 30 minutes running on the treadmill. 60 minutes weight training exercises.

Zoe Saldana: Instead of only sweating to look good for one big event, Saldana strives to make healthy habits second nature. “After the premiere of Avatar, Steve felt like my training dropped off and he was like, ‘You need to come back.’ He was right, you really have to nurture your body,” she explains. “I have a lot of respect for people who do it, because it’s a lifestyle.”

Rihanna: Rihanna admits her body is the result of “a lot of hard work and a lot of running on the treadmill.” Carbs are the enemy but if I go three days without them, I start getting weak. If my trainer had her way, I’d eat small meals every three hours, but I sometimes only eat once or twice a day. I work out every day but I need a trainer to motivate me – I don’t find it much fun working out on my own.” “Everyone wants to have slim, perfectly-toned legs and I’m the same. I do weights but I don’t want my legs to bulk up so I do a lot of cardio. I’ve lost a lot of weight since I started working out and if I exercise every day for a week, I can drop several pounds. If I diet, I see even faster results.”

Adriana Lima: Exercises 2 hours 6 days a week. Working out should be a part of everybody’s routine,” she says. “I know sometimes you don’t have time — that’s why I love jumping rope, because you can take it with you anywhere and you don’t need to do it, like, one hour. You can do it ten minutes and it’s like 45 minutes of running.”

Amanda Seyfried: “Running a half hour four to five days a week keeps me alright–five days, because I feel guilty when I don’t. I also go to Harley Pasternak’s three times a week, and I love it. He’s fun and we do different things every time. It’s 45 minutes, and he kicks my ass! My legs are really strong, and I feel really great. And I go to my pilates teacher, Nikiko, on the weekends–she’s all about stretching and toning and being long and lean.”

Anna Paquin: “I like to mix things up so I’m not doing the same thing every single day,” she said. She also works out on the elliptical and stationary bike she keeps in her garage. “Let’s face it, gyms aren’t open at four in the morning. So if I can’t do anything else, I can get a perfectly good workout in my garage!”

Miranda Kerr: Miranda spends about four sessions of 75 minutes each at the gym. Her workout is usually a combination of exercises targeting all muscle groups, but which places emphasis on her legs. Thus, Gelband says, Kerr does 30 minutes on her legs, 30 on her core, arms and balance, and 15 minutes on stretching afterwards. To keep her legs lean and toned (and, of course, cellulite-free), Miranda also does a 5-kilometer run and weight work, plus some boxing on the side.

Katy Perry: While Perry admits she hates working out, she stays fit by jumping rope. “I love jumping rope,” she said. “It’s like dancing. I can double jump, I can cross, I can do all of it. I look like Rocky!” “On holidays I eat whatever I feel like,” she told Women’s Health. “But on tour the catering is a lot of grilled chicken—nothing fried. Everything is organic, and I have soy milk. No chips in sight—if they’re in front of you, you eat them.”

Beyoncé: An upper body workout can get boring with all those repetitions, so Knowles added her own twist. “I’ll put on a song that I really like and do [biceps curls with] 5-pound weights the whole song,” she told us. Or, using 3-pound weights, she’ll box for the length of one track. [Doesn't count, everyone knows Beyoncé is a robot.]

Megan Fox: “I’m very lazy. I hire a personal trainer who is supposed to come three times a week. He comes to me – I don’t even have to leave the house. He’ll come to my house and I’ll be lying in the exact same spot he left me in. I’ll be like: ‘Not today! Not today!’” Even though Fox doesn’t like to exercise, she does it in order to keep those flat abs. She starts with 30 minutes of cardio, and then another half an hour of Pilates or cycling to burn some more calories and keep her slim figure.

Oh Yes They Did: Oh No They Didn’t!

Adriana Lima has tried many different forms of exercise including running, yoga and spinning classes. However, the sport of boxing has won her over as she has found that it keeps her in the best shape, both physically and mentally. She says there’s something new to learn every day and this dynamic makes her feel consistently challenged. She told People magazine, “Boxing! It’s my favorite thing to do because it’s always exciting. It’s the best type of cardio that you can do. And you build up muscles without being too big, just lean muscles.”

As for her diet plan, she is most focused on portion Control. She says “As the day goes on, I keep going smaller with my portions.” She claims that she sleeps better at night when she eats lighter at night. A typical “day in the life” of Lima’s food intake would consist of either egg whites, oatmeal w/raisins or muesli with plain yogurt and honey plus a cup of coffee and milk. For lunch, she enjoys a portion of either fish, chicken or red meat along with vegetables. For dinner, she has a small salad. Snacks include raw veggies and even indulges in chocolate sometimes. She also consumes a spoonful of raw honey as she states, “it helps your immune system.”

Today Adriana Lima  aka the prettiest person on this earth, hosted the  Fantasy Bombshell bra luncheon at Bobo’s on W. 10th and 7th Ave. who if I might add have the best menu ever!

but aside from the food and all the good looking people not to mention the fact that Lima commented on how she liked my make up.. I’m definitely going to have to file this as the best lunch of my life!…

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE BRA AND DIAMONDS!!…

Adriana has been chosen (for the second time ) to wear this year’s Bombshell Fantasy Bra worth 2 Million and covered in none other than 3,000 cut white diamonds, light blue sapphires and oval-shaped topazes, all set in 18 karat white gold, the bra features 60 carats of diamonds and 82 carats of sapphires… it’s all part of being a ridiculously good looking Angel I guess!

This amazing wearable piece of art took over 1,500 hours to hand-set every little diamond!! Wicked, if you ask me… trust me it will be worth it when you get to feast your little eyes on it as it airs on the runway for Victoria Secret’s fashion show- Tuesday, November 30 on CBS.

Famed photographer Mario Sorrenti shot these bombshell bodies for these provocative V covers.  Every cover with the exception of Adriana’s will feature a SCRATCH-OFF “V” to reveal an ever sexier, revealing shot – a first for V!  This issue celebrates Boobs and Butts, breaking rules and changing perceptions.  The limited edition scratch-off versions will be sold exclusively on vmagazine.com or http://shop.vmagazine.com.

Somehow that event managed to combine three of my favorite things: Moet, supermodels, and sitting poolside. It felt more like a friend’s summer soiree compared to the regular industry events that we normally attend. It was quaint, but still full of buzz and excitement. Adriana Lima was comfortable enough to even showed off some  baby pictures.

Arlenis Sosa On Vogue’s Black Issue: It was a great experience for me. Actually I didn’t even know models Chanel Iman and Jourdan Dunn before the shoot. I really think that it caused a splash and I would love American Vogue to do something similar.

Alessandra Ambrosio On The Festivities: I love it! It’s a wonderful time. I adore [Lorenzo Martone] I really just want to dance all night long.

Because we all know I’ll probably never cut my hair, I jokingly said that my contribution to change would be to shave off my eyebrows. Joke or no joke, maybe this idea isn’t so far fetched. Not that I want to associate myself with Kim Kardashian, but she already did it and so did Adriana Lima! Besides, I certainly don’t want to follow the Alice Dellal bandwagon and shave half of my head! 

If you’re looking to stand out, this certainly is a step in the right direction. My only question: how long does it take for eyebrows to fully grow back?
