The newest Agent Provocateur ad campaign is quite strange, and I think that’s why I like it so much. The photography has a very 70s feel to me. Sure, the whole pirate thing is overrated, but the musket, grimy rope and over-the-knee boots make it very appealing somehow. I love the feast in the background; it alludes to the savage creatures inside all of us. Helena Christensen is the perfect model for the role- her expression captures the exact mood I think Agent Provocateur is trying to communicate.

The Season of the Witch will undoubtedly be one of the company’s most sexually controversial ad push, featuring torture, albinos, witchcraft, and just a little bit of devil worship.

There are certain days when I completely and absolutely remember why I love fashion. It’s not the days when I get to sit front row at NY Fashion Week, or the days that packages arrive from designers trying to woo me with freebies (athough those days are nice. please send all packages and invites to the address listed at the bottom of this page. thank you). It’s all about the days when campaigns like Kate Moss’s for Agent Provocateur end up in my mailbox and for a few fleeting moments I realize that I am in a field where people will randomly ask me to examine the half-nude (sometimes fully nude) body of a supermodel.

Kate Moss shines in these ad shots for her recent campaign with Agent Provocateur. Her beauty is undeniable and the looks are a major step up for the lingerie brand, who famously dumped Kate for the less than spectacular Maggie Gyllenhall. Thank god Kate is back, cause these shots remind us why we love the aging, nearly over-the-hill model. It’s her drop dead gorgeous appeal and limitless sexual energy. So we all know that Kate Moss is notorious for her inability to make it down the aisle with any of her rocker boytoys. But it seems that the model will finally get her day in white. No, she’s not taking it to the alter with her new Pete Doherty dopplegangler. Agent Provocateur will be releasing a new series of bridal lingerie and they’ve tapped Kate for the campaign. According to WWD, “Nick Knight will shoot a series of six images for the campaign, which will “portray Moss as a bride who has a last-minute change of heart.” The first shots will appear on the company’s Web site and will be released to the press in May. A film of Moss shooting the campaign also will premier on Knight’s Web site, Showstudio.com, on May 3.”

Back in 2006, when the brand featured Kate in an internet film title “The Four Dreams of Miss X”, fans flooded Agent Provacateur’s website causing it to crash. Hopefully this time around they have some backups.
