Through a collaboration with Modelinia, Kaleidcoscope launches today on Android with versions for the iPhone and iPad expected soon.  With the app, users can see about 10 results from different stores for each clickable item.  “Sometimes it’s the exact look. It’s similar to the idea of the look for less that people do in fashion — but it’s not just about a cheaper thing,” explained Sarah Kunst, director of business development for Kaleidoscope. “It can be a more expensive or a similar version.”

6. Violent Lips. Sometimes a girl needs to look fierce and really this isn’t the time to slack off with boring old jungle red or whatever signature color you use. Give me a hot pink leopard lip and call it a day/year/life.

9. A pair of Louboutins I lifted from FI‘s Editor-in-Chief Sam Lim. Barring the fact that I’m about six shoe sizes bigger than she is, Sam’s long hours in the line at the Christian Louboutin sample sale should be celebrated. Celebrated with a unbearably painful walk-off.

Besides coming out when it damn well feels like it, Egoïste is different from other mags in that all of the ads therein are the brainchild of its kooky editor, Wisniak, who now works from her own bed in her Parisian apartment.

To wit, the ad for Louis Vuitton sounds better than whatever they’re planning with Angelina Jolie:

The Louis Vuitton ad took Wisniak and her deputy, Eleonore Therond, a full year to create. It features a lost polar bear on an adventure with a monogrammed Louis Vuitton trunk. He embarks through the tundra with it; clings to it like a buoy in frigid waters, eventually finds shelter on a boat bound for civilization—and then, trunk in hand, crashes onto the stage of a lecture given by Al Gore on the perils of global warming.

A true rarity in fashion, in publishing and just in the pace of the modern world, Egoïste has become a collector’s item with the December 1977 issue featuring Mick Jagger recently selling on eBay for $1,100. And appropriately, you won’t find Egoïste hanging around on a shelf at Barnes and Noble; the only retailer in America that carries the mag is New York’s Rizzoli Bookstore.

Perhaps one day Keira Knightely’s cover will fetch a similar price tag. The actress and occasional Chanel cyclist may seem an odd choice considering the iconoclastic cover stars before her, but for Wisniak, it’s not about being current or on trend: “It’s about lasting. Barack Obama to sit in on The View.

So Barack Obama is going to be a guest on The View. That is more than interesting. Surely, this was David Axelrod’s idea. Considering how down the line Obama’s ratings have gotten and while I am at it, Axelrod’s recent outing on the Sunday talk shows was less than stellar. Yup, it is time for yet another achy-breaky PR blitz the goal being to Re-Hail to the Chief. Granted, this is probably the worst financial time on the planet and the Administration is doing whatever it can to help our economy, but the war in Afghanistan is putting the nail in the second term coffin. We are on the verge of Viet Nam, the Nixon years, like I am sitting here. Having lived through the Moratorium in 1969, the mood in the country was such that we had had just about enough of the politics that were killing off our troops. Granted the numbers are much different, but when read about the corruption in the Karzai Government, the drug dealing Taliban running rampant, well, people are getting really pissed. My guess is that the US is in for the biggest cut of that pie, which is why we are still there. Oil and drugs man. That’s what we live for.

I just wonder if Barack will join the ladies for that opening segment, Hot Topics, where they bitch and moan about things in the “news”, or as I like to call it…Bitchin’ Kitchen. Imagine if Obamski was including in the real nonsense that these gals obsess on like Kim Kardashian’s Tweets, Al Gore’s Masseuse-Gate, Lindsay Lohan’s Mug Shot, Snooki’s Pay Raise. Now that would be riveting television. Instead, we are about to be fed a pre-determined, all holds barred, propaganda-fest, where Barack will try to sell us on his decision to stay in the Poppy Capital of the world so that we can protect Gross Baboons.

Louis Vuitton decided to donate 15 percent of all sales from its U.S. Web site that day to The Climate Project, the non-profit organization founded by Al Gore.

They first partnered with The Climate Project in 2007, when it started
making donations on behalf of some of the personalities in Vuitton’s
Core Values advertising campaign.

The campaign has featured the
likes of Catherine Deneuve, Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi, Sean Connery,
Keith Richards and Francis Ford and Sofia Coppola.

“Over the
past few years Louis Vuitton has voluntarily made efforts to reduce the
impact of its activities on the environment,” Daniel Lalonde, president
and chief executive officer of Louis Vuitton North America said. “In
addition we are proud to be able to support The Climate Project.”

At 64, Keith Richards hasn’t mellowed. With Shine A Light, Martin Scorsese’s documentary on the Rolling Stones, recently released, he could focus on the autobiography he is co-writing with James Fox, the author of White Mischief. Or he could begin cataloging his 3,000 guitars. Either way, he won’t worry much about the planet, despite starring in the recent Louis Vuitton ad, for which service Vuitton donated a fee to Al Gore’s Foundation.

“I’ve been invented by the media. I’m just a minstrel. I didn’t want to be a rock star, just play music. I realized that to do that, you had to be famous. It has nothing to do with wanting to be a star.”
