The 80’s inspiration here is pretty obvious: incase the title or the teased blonde hair with an extreme side part didn’t clue you in photos of Deborah Harry herself litter the streets that Raquel Zimmermann is so chicly stomping down. I love how Vogue Paris September issue is just one big costume party.

Pixie Geldof has been accumulating some pretty heavy modeling gigs lately, including the cover of Vogue Italia and face of Agent Provocateur. Let me start out by saying that I find Drew Barrymore incredibly photogenic. And I don’t think you should stop doing magazine covers just because you’re over 30. And I’m down with Pop.

But I don’t find Drew much of a fashion muse, and I don’t know why Alasdair McLellan would agree to shoot such an unimaginative story for Pop’s 20th anniversary / animals / winter issue. On one hand, a casual look in an interesting choice for such a high-profile celebrity, and Drew looks cute; but… it’s a tad lacking.
