Lindsey Wixson and Daphne Groeneveld star in the outpouring New York City infatuation that is this spread in W Magazine. The editorial, entitled “Scene on the Street,” was photographed by Alasdair McLellan and styled by Edward Enninful.

The shoot has a little of everything, with styles inspired by the 20′s right up to the 2000′s. Check them out for yourself below:

I’m so torn over Lara…sometimes I love her, and other times I question her appeal. Sometimes I think she’s beautiful and has a great body, and sometimes I just don’t see it. Even in these images, she looks so different in each snapshot that I start to wonder. But, maybe that’s the whole point?

In a sea of “It Girls,” Daisy Lowe sticks out to me like a canary in a coalmine. She can grace the pages of European high-fashion mags and Doc Martins and Mango ad campaigns alike, and imbues both with her aloof-rocker good looks. (Gavin Rossdale is her father, after all). She’s been a model for Terry Richardson and Steven Klein, and dated Mark Ronson.

If that’s not enough to keep one intrigued, Lowe was shot by photographer Alasdair McLellan for British Vogue this December, and lends her offbeat charm to the editorial spread. It’s unconventional and romantic.

The 80′s inspiration here is pretty obvious: incase the title or the teased blonde hair with an extreme side part didn’t clue you in photos of Deborah Harry herself litter the streets that Raquel Zimmermann is so chicly stomping down. I love how Vogue Paris September issue is just one big costume party.

Mag Hag: Drew Barrymore for Pop

Let me start out by saying that I find Drew Barrymore incredibly photogenic. And I don’t think you should stop doing magazine covers just because you’re over 30. And I’m down with Pop.

But I don’t find Drew much of a fashion muse, and I don’t know why Alasdair McLellan would agree to shoot such an unimaginative story for Pop’s 20th anniversary / animals / winter issue. On one hand, a casual look in an interesting choice for such a high-profile celebrity, and Drew looks cute; but… it’s a tad lacking.
