Soon enough, Karl Lagerfeld will step down at Chanel (or die) and he will have to be replaced. Rumor has it, that Alber Elbaz (designer for Lanvin) might replace him.

Designers Alber Elbaz and Lucas Ossendrijver, of Lanvin’s Fall 2010 menswear collection, got a little daring with their most recent collection but kept up with what they do best: coats. Zip-off sleeve leather jackets, boiled wool frocks, drape collared coats and many a trench are in our midst. With other eye catching pieces, like the primary color soled oxfords and burnout velvet pullover, make this collection an excellent decade transition for Lanvin.

I’m truly in like with this brand lately. Alber is totally my new fashion nerd now that Marc is all toned, tanned and towing around the fiance. I think his understanding of women is phenomenal and his ability to craft such beautiful pieces season after season is impressive to say the least. Well his new London shop is open and it’s filled with all the needed Lanvin a girly could want including wedding dresses which Alber joked we’re perfect for women walking down the isle a third or fourth time. More pictures below… enjoysies.

“I am overweight, so I am very, very aware of what to show and what not to show, and I am sure there is a huge link with being an overweight designer and the work I do. My fantasy is to be skinny.”
