The words “cute” and “whimsical” are definitely ones I’d use when describing my fashion taste, but there is not a single piece of Alberta Ferretti’s adorable Philosophy Spring 2010 collection that I wouldn’t wear. With poppy sheer layers and cartoon lip decals galore, the collection is nothing but fun, flirty and fabulous. Out of any collection shown this season, Philosophy really sings “spring.”

Drew Barrymore got glammed up in Alberta Ferretti for a Roaring Twenties-inspired look. Accented with a small veil and classic red lipstick, the nude, sequined gown looked perfect on Drew, and not costumey. 

Drew hit up the..black carpet for HBO’s premiere of the Grey Gardens remake in New York Tuesday night.

The new Alberta Ferretti ad campaign has a glamourous, speakeasy vibe that revives the mood of 1920s France. Shot by Steven Meisel and featuring models Kinga, Mina Cvetkovic and Viktoriya Sasonkina, the series of photos rallies women everywhere to wear their string of pearls loud and proud. The pictures look great; Meisel has been head-on with the S/S 09 campaigns this year.

There’s a little Bohemian spirit in all of us, and who better to showcase that carefree edge than Alberta Ferretti? Although a theme within the collection is somewhat lacking, fringe and draping are two major components of her runway looks. If you’re looking for a label, I guess you could consider Ferretti’s girl a Grecian flapper, but a glamorous, sensual well styled one. Oh, and I absolutely love Ferretti’s play on the cocktail dress!
