This is Kloss’ eighth international Vogue cover, though she has yet to score that grand daddy of covers — American Vogue. However, the S.S. Karlie is blasting into outer-space considering her recent strut down the Victoria’s Secret runway.

And then there’s the guaranteed seal of supermodel approval – the not-at-all-creepy attentions of noted supermodelizer Leonardo DiCaprio.  Come 2012 — mark my words —  Anna Wintour will render her in some disappointing cover story shot by default photogs, Mario Testino or Annie Leibovitz.

From there, next stop: world domination.

David Armstrong

David Armstrong grew up outside Boston and traveled between his hometown and New York City when he studied at Cooper Union. After receiving his BFA at Tufts University in 1988, he moved to NYC permanently where he began work as a photographer. Starting out with black and white portraits, Armstrong began to experiment with landscapes and cityscapes in the nineties. Luckily, he also has a distinct and introspective eye for fashion – his editorials are moving and emotionally-charged.

Emma Watson explores her dark side for Harper’s Bazaar UK as the August cover girl. The Harry Potter star looks positively witchy in an Emilio Pucci dress from his Fall/Winter 2011.12 collection. The cover and spread played with dark and light pallets, and was photographed by Alexi Lubomirski. In her interview she talked about her plans to study abroad this year, and discussed her views on fashion. “It can be savage,” she says, “and cruel, in that it’s prescriptive — you have to look a certain way and fit a certain mould — but also in the way it’s made.” She certainly looks savage in this new spread. On motherhood: “I had kids at 25 and 27 [Isabella and Connor, Nicole’s adopted children with first husband Tom Cruise]. I think I have more patience now but less physical energy. It’s a trade-off: In your 20s, you’re bounding around, they’re attached at your hip, and you can just go and do anything. But I’m much more of a homebody now. My roots are deeper.”

Margulies poses as a sexy “bad wife” and opens up about her role on the hit show, balancing motherhood and career and feeling sexy for her husband.

On playing Alicia on The Good Wife: “It’s a challenge because she’s so far from who I am. I’m not saying I’m a crazy sexual person, but she’s such a repressed Wasp. I think the beautiful part of this journey she is on as a woman is that now she’s finding out who she is through her work and also discovering what sexy is to her.”

LINK LOVE: Harper’s Bazaar

The issue’s cover photograph, an extreme close-up taken by photographer Alexi Lubomirski, focuses on Perry’s red lips, which have been covered in 150 ruby-colored Swarovski Elements. In the Zinio edition, motion graphics create sparkle and shine and a behind-the-scenes video of Perry’s cover shoot.

She's smiling so hard I can almost hear her (off-pitch) cries for help.

In the December issue, out November 23rd, Perry gushes about new husband Russell Brand, who is apparently heaven-sent:

“I always knew I wanted a great man of God, someone who was going to be an inspiration for people and also be a lovely husband and father.”

Since when has Russell Brand been a “man of God,” let alone a “great man of God?” Was it before or after he kicked the heroin addiction? Probably after, right? God, and court-ordered rehab, can do wonders.

Katy insists that she’s a good girl because “I really believe in love, integrity, and respect.” However, she also wants you to know that she’s a bad girl because “I like to tease.” And also because she has no gag reflex.

She goes on to say,  “I know that I have sex appeal in my deck of cards. But I like to get people think­ing. That’s what the stories in my music do.”

Yes, I remember those profound and provocative stories about “skin so hot it’ll melt your popsicle” and “kissing a girl just to try it.” And let’s not forget about waking up in Vegas. Charlie Sheen especially took that one to heart.

Perry looks great in her editorial — soft, feminine, ladylike — thanks to Alexi Lubomirski. She’s not fooling me, though. I don’ trust that Katy Perry.

She likes to play both sides of the field; good girl and bad girl, Christian and heathen, lady and the tramp. One has the feeling she’d sell her soul for a hit record, but then one realizes that she did when she dumped the Christian rock to explore faux lesbianism.

I almost don’t recognize Doutzen Kroes with curly hair (and wearing Ralph Lauren Spring 2009) on the cover of the April 2009 issue of Vogue Germany.
