Sketch satirist aleXsandro Palombo may have recently fallen ill as he battles cancer, but his wit and pencil are still as sharp as ever. In his latest work, “Anna Wintour, Balloon and Dangerous” the bobbed Vogue editrix may look like a festive part decoration, but I doubt you’d want her helium-filled head floating anywhere near you.

Starring as a series of deadly and devilish balloons, the devil has apparently moved on from wearing Prada to rubber. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, aleXsandro and for another wonderfully inappropriate portrait.

Could Carine Roitfeld be the Editor of French Vanity Fair?

In an interview with the French paper Le Journal du Dimanche, Xavier Romatet, Chairman of Condé Nast, France, said that his group is working hard to launch the French version of Vanity Fair. ?Could Carine Roitfeld be in the running for the title of editor-in-chief?

“A special team is working on this important and ambitious project, which we plan to launch in 2012,” declared Xavier Romatet.

When asked who is going to be the editor, Xavier Romatet replied only with a grin, but the rumor in the editorial offices point to Madame Carine Roitfeld. Is it true?

I suppose only time will tell on this one.
