Amanda Seyfried
Vanity Not So Fair

I love Vanity Fair, It’s my dream, someday, to become the editor of the publication. Naturally, I was disappointed when I picked up the August issue to find a lack of color. Their featured “upcoming talent” was unimpressive. The magazine only featured two minority talents, Zoe Kravitz and Rob Brown. No Asians and no Hispanics (Daniel was not happy). America Ferrera anyone? Vanity Fair could have chosen a lot better.
The Vanity Fair shoot takes place on a white beach, features all white clothing and mostly, you guessed it, all white actors. To top it all off, the beach sort of looks like the Hamptons, at least they thoroughly completed the stereotype. And since when are the Jonas Brothers affiliated with Hollywood actors? The byline reads “today’s crop of hot young things”, we think it’s more like “today’s crop of white young things”.
New Indie Hollywood: Amanda Seyfried

We are hearts over Amanda Seyfried, a fresh Hollywood star that will making her big screen debut in Mamma Mia. Vanity Fair got some shots of the acress for their Vanities Girls spread. Check out her profile below…
Age: 22
Provenance: Allentown, Pennsylvania
You know her… as the coming-of-age teen in everyone’s favorite polygamy-motif’d TV show, Big Love. But you’ll see her next as Meryl Streep’s daughter in the screen adaptation of Mamma Mia! “She’s the coolest human being ever,” says Seyfried of her on-camera mom. “She didn’t treat me like I was younger. She respected me. I couldn’t ask for anything better.
Diablo rising: Next up for Seyfried is Jennifer’s Body, the latest project from multi-tattooed Oscar-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody. “I play the nerdy best friend of Jennifer, who becomes a zombie,” says Seyfried. “I’m like the heroine of the movie. I have to try to save the small town we live in.” —KRISTA SMITH
