American Vogue already has Voguepedia, an online encyclopedia that will — eventually — catalog the mag’s extensive archives. Now Franca Sozzani has launched its Italian counterpart, Encyclo, with one major difference: anyone can submit articles to it.

Baz Luhrmann‘s The Great Gatsby promises to be a major fashion event — Luhrmann and his Daisy Buchanan, Carey Mulligan are already involved with next year’s Costume Institute Gala — complete with a 20s fashion revival, an inevitable Vogue cover and an awards season full of red carpet gowns. And Tiffany & Co. just added another layer of blinged out glamour.

I’m all about a completely gratuitous nude photoshoot. Even when it’s with a woman. Even when that woman is Rihanna. Why there needs to be all this dirt and what appears to be designer seaweed all over the place, I’ll never know/care enough to find out. But it’s just part of Esquire being all sexy and naming the pop superstar — why does it feel like an angel dies every time I mention that — their “Sexiest Woman of the Year.”

GQ UKs latest issue features a bikini-clad Kristen Stewart in full-on Forties pin-up mode. And while it’s no September issue of W…it’s at least not the February issue of Vogue.

New York, London, Milan and Paris. As any follower of fashion knows, those four cities are the main fashion capitals of the world and in that order their fashion weeks have progressed for what seems like time immemorial. Well, New York’s moving their fashion week to Sept. 13th to avoid conflicting with Labor Day, but that leaves Milan in a time crunch. And the Italians are not standing for it.

- Anna Wintour may finally, much like the rest of the world, be over Sienna Miller. Thanks to some car trouble, Sienna was a half an hour late to buddy Matthew Williamson’s fashion show. The designer foolishly kindly held the show for her, much to the chagrin of the Bobbed One who was seconds away from storming out and burning down the designer’s entire spring line. [Metro UK]
