Personally, I stopped watching Project Runway as soon as it hopped from Bravo to Lifetime,  deciding along the way that a season in L.A. was a good idea, but this new spin-off series could bring some much-needed fresh air into the franchise.

The All-Stars will compete for a handsome set of prizes, the most lucrative in Runway history: “an exclusive designer boutique in select Neiman Marcus stores and on neimanmarcus.com; $100,000 in technology and office space to help expand their business from HP and Intel; $100,000 cash from L’Oréal Paris; a feature spread in Marie Claire, for which he or she will serve as a guest editor for one year, and a sewing and embroidery studio provided by Brother International.” Well, at least they made returning to the scene of one’s former and very public embarrassment suitably enticing.

The Spring 2011 campaign, dubbed “Journey in Style,” is inspired by the brand’s heritage of discovery. Drawing on the themes of exploration, travel, and the classic American road trip. The campaign was shot against the stunning backdrop of the Vasquez Rocks, one of Southern California’s most famous geologic wonders and features Banana Republic product that is modern, effortless, and full of style.

As for the clothes, besides Bonnie in Burberry, I’m literally in a coma from boredom. Pull the plug.

Last night, CHANEL hosted their fifth annual CHANEL Tribeca Film Festival Artist Dinner at the Odeon. The evening honored the artists who have contributed original artwork to the award-winning filmmakers. This year’s contributing artists include Ghada Amer and Reza Farkondeh, Sheila Berger, Maurizio Galimberti, Stephen Hannock, Valerie Hegarty, Maira Kalman, Vik Muniz, Yoko Ono, Spencer Platt, Stephen Posen and Clifford Ross.

Angela Linvall get’s sexed up for Jimmy Choo’s post-H&M collection of highly covetable accessories and shoes. My only qualm, the use of neon. I thought we passed this phase and were headed towards a less Stevie-Sprousey traditionalism I’ve come to miss in luxury. Guess I’ll wait till next season.

Fashion is in a giving mood. In the wake of Gucci’s UNICEF campaign comes the news that shoe giant, in and out of heels, Jimmy Choo, has teamed up with the Elton John AIDS Foundation for Project PEP.

Choo and the EJAF teamed up in 2005 on the funding of the Simela Centre in South Africa, and Project PEP will help that organization. Twenty five per cent of net sales from the range of clutches, shoes and bags featuring a punk rock motif (when did Elton go punk?) going to the Cape Town centre which assists victims of rape.

Angela Lindvall let David Mushegain and Vogue UK get personal at her home in Topanga, California. The Terry Richardson-shot ads for Jimmy Choo’s S/S 2009 collection features Angela Lindvall. Conceptually similar to the F/W 2009 campaigns, a leggy Lindvall shoes off Choo’s new shoes and accessories.

This is one of the most straightforward ads I’ve seen in awhile. Model Angela Lindvall is basically selling the purse with no strenuous effort. You can tell by the way she’s holding the bag that it’s for sale. The purse looks okay, but what I really want is her outfit. Even though the ad is simple and even a bit grainy looking, I appreciate its raw style and appearance.

Just because Angela Lindvall rocked out the solid to sheer jumpsuit at Stella McCartney’s Spring 2009 show, doesn’t mean we all can. This photograph is a bit misleading…what on earth has she got on underneath the jumpsuit? Could there be a bodysuit under there? Maybe a pair of boy-shorts? Nude lingerie? Sheer on the runway has become more and more acceptable, but I don’t know how the public would react to this jumpsuit with a view. So, how would you wear it?

After checking out Fashionista‘s call for ideas on the way to wear this jumpsuit, I came across a reader comment that was spot on. Leggings. Duh! Why didn’t I think of that? Why not sport this awesome jumpsuit with a pair of slimming leggings to balance out the airy flow of the sheer legs. Match a top base layer to the leggings and you’re on your way to one hell of a knock-out look!
