The couture clan — consisting of founders Ottavio and Rosita along with kids Angela, Vittorio and Luca and the grands, Margherita, Ottavio Jr. and Jennifer — stormed the famed Beverly Hills walkway to be presented the award by friend and eternal pimp, Quincy Jones.

Jones surprised at the popularity cum hysteria of the Missoni Target collaboration, expressed hopes of scoring one of those bikes for himself.

Meanwhile, Iman turned over the reins to Rachel Zoe for dress duties — “She does Seventies ease well, which was really my generation” – and piled on some Fred Leighton jewels for the occasion. Greeting Ottavio, in Italian no less, the icon remarked, “I modeled in a lot of Missoni shows back in the day, so we know each other well.” Of course they do.

Pucci has always been know for its psychedelic, druggy prints and eccentric shapes, and Peter Dundas has done a fine job of both upholding and refining that reputation. His band of gypsies, wrapped in maxi skirts, crop tops and chunky crosses, marched down the runway with conviction and a vintage air. Over-the-top at times, but all the time sexy, this collection will be more wearable come spring than you think.

After spending the summer in Sardinia, watching her daughters come home at dawn following a night of dancing, Angela Missoni certainly tried to capture a mood in her Spring 2012 collection. Another iconic house to always be slightly left of the curve, a mélange of colors, layers and prints cascaded together in a clusterf*ck of fabric to comprise each garment.

Anna Molinari walked out at the end of her show holding a bouquet of flowers that she quite easily could have snatched from one of her Spring 2012 garments. No one would have noticed their absence from the bevy of colors and blossoms in the collection. Nary a fabric could feel left out among the neoprene and sequins, patent and raffia, fur and faux fur. I need to get my hands on some of the bouley she's tokin'.

Though toned down compared to other collections shown on the Milan runways for Spring 2012, it's not often you hear clothes coming down the runway. The bells were literally jingling from matador jackets of a sexy Spanish influence. Rosella Jardini may have designed one of the label's most wearable collections in awhile, but the extremely intricate embellishments remain appropriate for the bold only.

The pop-up will open at 6 p.m. at 1095 Sixth Ave near Bryant Park, where Angela Missoni and Margherita Maccapani Missoni will be on hand to take “family portraits” with the first 20 guests to spend over $100.

With some 400 items — the largest in Target’s collaborative history — including apparel for men, women, girls and baby as well as luggage, home furnishings and beauty products all from $2.99 to $599, you’ll rack up a C-note before you can squeal “Diana Vreeland!” [WWD]

Described as “strong, with lots of character and color” by designer Angela Missoni, this collection of cruise ready attire is a melange of color and geometric superiority. Inspired by Africa, Missoni looked to introduce a look that could stand alone or be combined with a number of complimentary accessories including highly covetable wrist bangles and purses. Coke on the Runway? Yeah, you never see it but you know what’s happening backstage. Oh, wait, Coca Cola?!? Yeah, I guess that makes more sense.

It’s Fashion Week in Milan, Italy and yesterday instead of models with hour-glass figures, the models were shaped like Coke bottles. That’s because they WERE Coke bottles…

Coca-Cola Italy, in collaboration with The Abruzzo Charity Project enlisted 8 female designers to design sleeves for a limited amount of “Coca-Cola Light” bottles (Italy’s version of Diet Coke) to be available starting September 25th. Donatella Versace, Alberta Ferretti, Anna Molinari from Blumarine, Veronica Etro, Silvia Venturini Fendi, Marni’s Consuelo Castiglioni, Angela Missoni and Rossella Jardini at Moschino were the designers asked to participate, they said yes and the result is fabulous. 

The proceeds will be used by The Abruzzo Charity Project to help people/families affect by the devastating earthquake last year.

They kicked off the project at Fashion Week on Friday by showing the designs on the runway in the form of Coke bottles walking the runway…great idea.

Last year at the exact same time, Coca-Cola asked Roberto Cavalli to design bottles featuring his staple animal spots and stripes and it was very successful. This was the amazing result:

Oh how I wish these bottles were available here in the US. I may have to plan a trip back to my family’s homeland, see some relatives and enjoy a designer bottle of soda…
