You’ll have to excuse me, but having just stepped off a plane returning from the Bahamas (hence my week+ hiatus from Fashion Indie), I’m still in the summer/sun mode. With my heart on the beach but my head back in the city, I’ve been struck with the harsh reality that no, I cannot waltz about town in my bikini, hippie tunic, gladiator sandals and aviators. But the fashion god as my witness, this summer I’m going to glam up that free-spirited beach bum and introduce her to the concrete playground. These Armand Basi sandal heels are proof that my anticipated summer aesthetic is possible! The woven, open toe, tie-back sandal design counters the city-famous wooden platform heel, mixing that boho beach look with the pizazz of New York nightlife.

The upcoming collection from Armand Basi is a great way to go formal for a night out on the town, without looking like the stereotypical Manhattan douchebag. Not that blazers haven’t been a big thing forever in fashion, but I feel like they are getting more and more play of late. Armand Basi offers a ton of great blazers worth picking up for the Spring.
