The Hamptons is going to be swarming with the rich and fabulous. It is important that you always look posh and put together even if you’re getting plastered in the middle of the day. I recommend this Ben Minkoff weekender. It’s simple, durable, and can hold a champagne bottle or two. (And yes I know from experience.) One of your essentials should include a Ralph Lauren polo. (The staple of the prep wardrobe) An Orlebar Brown bathing suit is the way to go shorts wise. (Even if you’re not swimming you can wear these as shorts all day and look stylish.) Finally you’ll need a pair of  Sperry boat shoes. (Duh!) Don’t forget to bring a blazer just in case and daddy’s credit card.

The Jersey Shore is always a hot spot during the summer months and Memorial Day weekend is probably one of the craziest times it gets. As a Jersey native I have to say that  people were going to down the shore (As we Jerseyans put it) before Snooki and The Situation took over with a camera crew. That being said a Quiksilver duffle is what you want to pack. It can take a beating and be fulled to over capacity with all your weekend needs. While you’re at the beach or walking on the boardwalk these American Eagle shorts have both fashion and function without calling negative attention to whoever is wearing them. Speaking of the boardwalk you can stroll comfortably down it in these Ugg sandals. Lastly you’ll need something nice to impress at the club and an Armani Exchange dress shirt will do the trick. Just make sure you’re tan and party ready.

 

Guys Guide To Memorial Day Weekend

Fire Island is a major gay destination on the East Coast if you didn’t know. The island is known for it’s nonstop parties and debauchery. If you go this Rag & Bone bag says “I’m here, I’m queer, & I have taste: Get Used To It!”  I recommend packing light since it seems that many of the people running around are not in that much clothes. That’s why this Baskit trunk is totally appropriate. There are a lot of outdoor activities so go for a pack of American Apparel tanks so you have something light and simple that can transition from day to night. Armani Exchange Neon Carnival: Armani Exchange and 944 Magazine took over a private airport on the outskirts of the festival and built a fully-functioning, Armani Exchange-branded carnival. In addition to the ferris wheel, giant slide and carnival games, they managed to build an outdoor club in the middle of the venue, complete with celebrities and bottle service. DJs Devin Lucien, Jesse Marco, and DJ Politik kept the energy high while young Hollywood danced the night away. Josh Hartnett, Paris and Nicki Hilton, Camilla Belle, Kellen Lutz, Penn Badgley, Tara Reid, Jamie Chung and Elijah Wood were just a few of our celeb spottings.

Belvedere Music Lounge: The Belve Music Lounge provided a peaceful oasis from the hot desert sun. Located at a private estate in Bermuda Dunes, the lounge had a refreshing pool, mini sand pit, cold cocktails, a fun photo booth and models in bikinis demonstrating the Belvedere shaker app on iPads. DJ sets were as sought-after as the festival lineup: The Knux, Taryn Manning, Dirty Vegas, Yacht, Punches, Blaqstarr, DJ Berrie, Junior Sanchez, Theophilus London and more spun for our pleasure. Our celeb spottings included Rosario Dawson, Brittany Snow, Laidback Luke and Miguel.

Patron popsicles cooled us off while DJ Cassidy kept us dancing. A|X ARMANI EXCHANGE F/W 10/11 | ARTHUR SALES & TAMIRIS SOUZA FREITAS by MATTHEW SCRIVENS

With all the recent hype about 3-D movies, A|X Armani Exchange is among the first fashion companies to create a 3-D ad Fall/Winter 2010/11 campaign that encompasses print, outdoor, a music video and an interactive online component on its web site. The 3-D print ads, along with 3-D glasses, will appear in the September issues of GQ, Interview and V magazines.

The print ads were shot by featuring Brazilian models Tamiris Souza Freitas and Arthur Sales.

This week, Marc Ecko's Cut & Sew line unveiled an ad campaign starring a 3-D Lindsay Lohan hologram, and in July, Time Out New York joined Dazed and Confused on the growing list of mags embracing multidimensional editorial and advertising. Now Armani Exchange is getting in on the action, launching a 3-D ad campaign for the September issues of GQ, Interview, and V. “A survey we did showed that half our customers had an iPhone or a BlackBerry two years ago,” said Tom Jarrold, who seems to believe that somehow means they'd also appreciate a 3-D ad. But wait — there's more! The 3-D glasses that accompany the Matthew Scrivens–shot print ads will also enhance a futuristic, corresponding web video about a motorcycle rider. Okay, whatever, 3-D or not, it stars Arthur Sales as a biker and Tamiris Souza Freitas as his lusty interest, and it ends with them making out while they undress. How could it not be awesome? WWD

Just saw this Armani Exchange behind the scenes vid and it is by far the most sleep inducing video featuring hot people I’ve ever seen. While the model’s are beautiful (Clint Mauro, Marlon Teixeira and Irina Shayk) the music choice reminds me of a bad CW summer show. You know the ones they put on when they don’t have anything good to air, Melrose Place or something equally cheesy. You can test the sleeping aid for yourself after the jump.
