Got a hot date on Monday? You’d better make it smokin’. It’s quite a rough day for the gents to get through – all the mushy gush that Cupid brings is enough to make them put an arrow through their eyes. So when you’re on that V-Day date, show a little skin, heel a little high, and line your curves with sexiness. Like these five outfits.

1. Shimmy shimmer in hot sequined fuchsia, like this glimmering racerback by Ashish. Go all the way bright with these pink Miu Miu strappies.

2. Douse yourself in red and floral, as Saint Valentine envisioned it, in this little number from Urban Outfitters. Then kill it with the Lady Peep Sling dual-toned Louboutins. Even a man loves a red sole.

3. Trying to be sneakily demure? In pastel cotton candy chiffon, the side cutouts look playful á la this Australian dress by Zimmermann. Give it more pizzazz with golden sparkles on the toes in Miu Miu.

4. Leave the rouge tones aside, and strike up the sexiness of lace. With a sweetheart front and sheer long sleeves, this Elizabeth and James dress kisses the body flatteringly tight. Liquified mesh platformed stilettos by Nicholas Kirkwood will take this look all the way to the boudoir.

5. Hervé Léger built a bandage body con suit that reads like psychedelic sunshine. Stack yourself on these Guiseppe Zanotti platforms, and you’ll leave Valentine’s Day dazzling in his eyes.

You better know when to fold'em.

Something about having too much eyeshadow and not enough death metal on your iPod always manages to throw me off. A look that’s being raised from the dead in beauty is literally a look that makes you look like you just walked off the set of Thriller. The black-eyed, overly mascaraed trend is one which needs to rest in peace. No woman looks good like this, with the exception of true grungers/rocker types, but it’s only made so much worse in the collection of Ashish cause the face doesn’t seem to match the collection, which looks like a mix of Mary-Kate meets Grannies Bridge club in Florida. Of course, when we saw a similar attempt at Alexander Wang’s last season, which was a truly rock-derivative collection, it was all the rage, but here the Raccoon is all the wrong you need to avoid.

On the other side of the coin, some of you may argue that raccoons are cute little creatures with a sense of mischief that is fun to imitate through eye shadow. Let me warn you the image on the next page may shock you and completely change your ideas of raccoons.
