Initially, all references to the whip-its were redacted, on the recommendation of the LA City Attorney who feared the revelation would be an invasion of privacy. But it being the age of  status updates, there’s no such thing as privacy. Just ask George Clooney.

Last night on the SAG Awards red carpet, Clooney — who minces everything but words — called the decision to release Demi’s 911 tape “stupid”:

“I think it’s a stupid thing. I think it’s stupid for anyone, whether they’re celebrated or not, I don’t believe their 911 call should be broadcast around the world, but that’s my opinion. What’s happening and what people have to remember is that people are getting famous from Facebook and Twitter, so it’s not just about people here, it’s about everybody. There won’t be any version of privacy. So it’s going to be a tricky thing.”

Demi Moore has a well-documented history with substance abuse, having had a tough childhood and coming of age in Hollywood during the coked-up 80s. Her recent split with human sped bump Ashton Kutcher has brought to light her troubles with one source telling noted gossip rag In Touch, ”Demi is a complete mess… The last year of her life has been a downward spiral, and she’s being urged to face her demons…it’s a misconception that she was ever 100 percent sober. She’s been drinking for years.”

Well, clearly Demi needs some help. How drunk do you have to be to think marrying Kelso would be a good idea? [TMZ]

On body image:

On being “abandoned”:

OK let’s be brutally honest here. What in the hell were the people at Details & Conde Nast on when they  thought Ashton Kutcher was the right man to put on this cover. It’s not just any cover, it’s a SEPTEMBER ISSUE. To add insult to injury they stick him in a nondescript black v-neck sweater against a white background. No offense but we’ve litettaly seen better id pictures, hell mugshots even.

This is a prime example of the magazine industry putting celebrity in front of substance and fashion. This is pretty much a slap in the face for anyone who considers this publication as a good source of mens style and fashion.

Ranked Second is none other than the voice of one of the ugliest girls on television, according to her father, Peter Griffin. Miss Black Swan understudy, you are number 2.

Numbero Tres is hands down the hottest mom on television. Sofia Vergara flaunts her assets, like that Colombian accent, on Modern Family once a week. Men are turning their TV on in droves every Wednesday night for at least a couple of large, well placed reasons.

The rest of the results may surprise you. Scarlett Johansson dropped to number 7, and men love her. I mean, have you seen, like, every other issue of GQ? Emma Watson ranked #17, which is amazing for a girl who’s just played Hermione Granger for a decade. And can you believe that Angelina Jolie didn’t even make the top 20? So, the Top 99 Women (of ?) have been judged. Men can still go on and decide whether these ladies deserve to be moved up or down on the list. Let’s see if anything changes.

Moore has — unexpectedly — been at work, promoting not one but two movies at the Festival. The first, Margin Call, is an all-star thriller “that revolves around the key people at a investment bank over a 24-hour period during the early stages of the financial crisis.” I guess it’s a comedy/thriller.

The other film, Another Happy Day, centers around “high-strung”  Lynn (Ellen Barkin) and a wedding at her parents’ estate which hurls her “into the center of touchy family dynamics.” That film also stars — wait this can’t be right — Kate Bosworth. I guess the Recession is over.

And in other improbable news, Demi was joined at Sundance by husband Ashton Kutcher whose new film, No Strings Attached is the number one movie in America.

Did you hear that, Natalie Portman? People actually saw that movie you thought would go straight to DVD just a month away from the Academy Awards!

Let’s hope this doesn’t Norbit your chances at that Oscar. You should’ve taken a note out of Nicole Kidman‘s book — she’s in Just Go With It, and yet doesn’t appear in a single promo poster or trailer.

The experience of filming Black Swan (which I finally saw yesterday and am still recovering from) must have been so intense the two pint-sized actresses decided they needed a little break. They obviously got very close during filming as they (spoiler alert)  became the same person.

Natalie stars in No Strings Attached with Mila’s former boyfriend, Michael Kelso, about friends who become friends with benefits. Meanwhile, Mila stars with that guy from *NSYNC (whose album No Strings Attached was one of the seminal productions of the late-90s/early-00s boy band craze) in a movie called…Friends with Benefits.

I’m beginning to think Daron Aronofsky is behind all of this and Winona Ryder is going to show up dead at one or both of these premieres.

1. Kate Bosworth – She’s a red carpet staple, but if you tell me Kate’s been in anything since 2002′s Blue Crush I’ll laugh in your face. You could argue that she was Superman Returns but Lois Lane disappears from view as soon as she turns sideways.

2. Camilla Belle – She of the strong brow and even stronger fashion instincts, Camilla was in 2006′s When a Stranger Calls, but she could easily have been the stranger as I had never seen her before (or since) then.

IMDb says: From Prada to Nada (2011), A Latin spin on Jane Austen’s Sense & Sensibility, due out at the end of the month. Keep ringing, Belle.

3. Kerry Washington – Stunning Washington has been in critically-acclaimed fare such as Ray, The Last King of Scotland and Save the Last Dance (speaking of which, the last thing I saw Julia Stiles in was a commercial touting her as an original; I must have been mistaken), but if you add up her screen time from all of her films, she’s easily logged more exposure strolling the red carpet.

IMDb says: For Colored Girls (2010), Kerry is one of 10 women striving to survive through Tyler Perry‘s muddled direction and clunky adaptation of the Tony-winning play.

4. Vanessa Hudgens - Hudgens recently completed her most challenging role to date as Zac Efron‘s “girlfriend,” a part in which she was never truly convincing. Though known for not wearing clothes, she’s still one of Teen Vogue‘s Best Dressed Celebs of 2010.

5. Rachel Bilson – Ever since The O.C. ended, Bilson has emerged as a style icon for young girls who see her engaging performances every week in the pages of Us Weekly and In Touch.

6. Emma Roberts – The extent of my knowledge regarding Emma Roberts: she’s Julia Roberts‘ niece. Oh, and she’s Eric Roberts‘ daughter. Though she’s making a name for herself as a legitimate actress, for now her last name and her emerging glamor are her only defining characteristics.

IMDb says: It’s Kind of a Funny Story (2010) I’ve actually heard good things about this dramedy about a clinically depressed teenager in an adult psych ward, but I, like everyone, haven’t seen it.

7. Demi Moore – Despite not having been in a  movie since husband Ashton Kutcher was in diapers (and Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle doesn’t count so don’t even try it), stylist Rachel Zoe is always on the verge of a heart attack clamoring to dress her. For what, the supermarket? Demi always looks great, but a movie star of her stature should have at least one more good movie in her.

IMDb says: Bunraku (2010) And this is not it. Demi co-stars with Josh Hartnett and Woody Harrelson in a drama/fantasy about a drifter who blah-blah-blah, who cares? Striptease 2: From the Stripper Pole to the Nursing Home!

This latest celebrity gossip comes at the same time as news that the ever-fabulous Marlo Thomas has been cast as Moore’s mother in an English language remake of the French comedy titled LOL: Laughing Out Loud. The still-beautiful 73-year-old Thomas was a top fashion star of the 1960s when she played the lead role of Anne Marie in the popular sit-com That Girl.

Moore, a red carpet favorite of top ten fashion designers, insists she’s not using the program to lose weight, saying “This is about health!!!”

Demi Moore is the cover girl for Harper’s Bazaar April 2010 edition. Inside, she talks about meeting Ashton 7 years ago, her love of the late designer Alexander McQueen, and her favorite pastime, watching TV.

On whether she’d prefer being called a cougar or puma: “Cougar has become so distasteful. I really hate that expression.” She said recently that when it comes to her relationship, she’d prefer to be called a puma. “It has a sweeter quality, more elegant. And then somebody said to me, ‘Pumas are only for people in their 30s.’”

Wish I had such a cool mom…According to Page Six, Demi gave Rumer a pole-dancing lesson at a party at the Chateau Marmont hotel. A partygoer said that the “Striptease” star “even spun around the pole upside down.” Then Rumer gave it a whirl as Ashton Kutcher, Jennifer Aniston and Leonardo DiCaprio cheered her on. “Everyone was cheering, and Leo gave Ashton a high-five.”

Some noteworthy dresses were Oscar de la Renta (of course!) worn by Cameron Diaz, which was gorgeous but didn’t seem to fit her properly.

The hats were so ridiculously and obnoxiously over done that they were almost the perfect recipe for vomit. They had “cool” clashing colors and fabrics, and in no way looked good on your head. Ashton Kutcher was the Von Dutch master, and single handedly allowed the douche bag to feel comfortable outside the confines of his frat house, thus allowing them to spread their douche bag seed at beer pong playing dive bars across the nation.

Once in a blue moon you may actually see one of these post-college, homo-erotic d-bags playing grab ass with his “bros” in Hoboken, rocking a Von Dutch hat because an Ed Hardy hat would be his fifth Ed Hardy piece in one outfit, and even that’s too much for him. The best part of this whole concept is that the dude totally had to style his hair before he put the hat on though in case of an emergency.

Well I guess for Bruce Willis the third time was the charm, because he has finally produced a child that has developed into a trendy, cute girl rather than a human that tests my gag reflex every time I look at it. Tallulah Belle Willis is quite the little up and comer, and has been seen more and more looking chic on red carpets alongside her pedophile mom Demi Moore. Look for Tallulah to start out shinning her shovel faced sister Rumor in the very near future!
