Actress Audrey Tautou, starring in the new Coco Before Chanel motion picture, is Elle Canada’s October covergirl.

From the dress, to the matching leather jacket and bag, Audrey is quickly becoming a fashion icon, kinda like Coco Chanel. Did I mention the haircut? Forget the Aggy do, this is so fresh, def the new pixie.

These are actually film stills from a new Chanel No. 5 commercial — the new mini film stars an appropriately cast Audrey Tautou and model Travis Davenport (directed by Amélie’s Jean-Pierre Jeunet.

Rumor has it that Chanel is suffering, cutting back upwards of 200 jobs, and canceling the Mobile Art Exhibit, but the filming of ‘Coco avant Chanel’ is still going strong. Here are the first released images.

Obviously Karl would be involved with anything Chanel, since he is the designer, but now he is working on two other projects involving Coco herself. Two biopics, due to be released next year, will have the backing of Lagerfeld himself as the supervisor of the re-creation of the costumes.
