Models At The Met

Models At The Met all indieBeing exposed, first hand, to all the glorious fashions from runway shows and editorials, one would think that models would steal the the best dressed award on last night’s Met Gala red carpet. While Chanel Iman, in her stunning Zac Posen dress, was a show stopping attendee, Shalom Harlow looked rather homeless and out of place in her crumpled, Gareth Pugh-ish garbage bag. Brooke Shields looked like a mermaid body builder. Agyness Deyn was an over-bronzed transvestite. Brooklyn Decker rocked out a Mary-Kate worthy outfit. All in all, the model fashion was skewed across the board. Tsk tsk…I expected big things from such fashion relatives.

Bar Refaeli to Host House of Style all indie

Bar Refaeli has confirmed with Time that she will be hosting the remake of MTV’s House of Style.

She seems to be quite the model of the moment right now, given her big Sports Illustrated cover. I still couldn’t pick her out of a line-up, though. Sorry, Leo.

Mm rumor time!

The New York Post is reporting that MTV’s House of Style will be returning to the airwaves.

They hope to recruit Bar Refaeli or Chanel Iman to fill Cindy Crawford’s chunky, early ’90s shoes.

Hm, wasn’t Cindy really the main reason people watched at first? I think I’d prefer if they re-ran those original episodes.

Bar Refaeli, the swimsuit model and Leonardo DiCaprio’s gf, is raising her profile in new ads.

She is featured in a campaign for board sport brand Hurley International (above). Sporting bikinis, sheer Ts and denim shorts from next Spring’s lineup, Refaeli will show off her curves in the October issues of Elle, Nylon and other glossies. Shot in Brazil by David Mushegain, the images illustrate a theme of a young woman’s journey and discovery.

Thanks WWD for the content.
