Fierce. Edgy. Unique. These are words that captivate the essence of Keva Johnson, creative head of KEVA by Keva J. Keva began her journey by being a fashionista through out high school. When she graduated college in 2005, with a BS in Apparel Design, she moved to Miami to pursue her dreams of being world renown. In March 2006 Project Runway came to Miami inviting contestants to tryout for season 3 of their hit show. Keva awaited with hundreds of other designers anticipating an opportunity on the show. Placing in the first of 23 people who qualified to the next round of Project Runway, she made it to first alternate. While no one dropped out allowing her the chance to be on the show, this only championed her to work all the more harder. It is said that an innovator creates something new and is always remembered for that trade. The final touches are being made in preparation for her debut fashion show.
