Great Stems

So lovely!!! These Miu Miu pumps are completely covetable and so perfect for a woman who wants to use her feminine wiles to get the Bat. Sorry, quoting Batman & Robin. Don’t you just love how forgiving Hollywood has been to George Clooney and Uma Thurman?!? Not so much for Silverstone.

WTF!?! Batman Full Zip Hoodie

WTF!?! Batman Full Zip Hoodie

Really people, we’re still doing this? I am embarrassed to know that this exists and is in some way loosely associated with fashion. We already know how played out the full zip hoodie is, and this is just over the top. These hoodies are probably what causes Christian Bale to freak out in public. If you’re going to buy this you might as well just wear a Halloween costume out in public.

Angelina to Play Catwoman

Angelina Jolie is interested in playing Catwoman in the upcoming sequel to The Dark Knight. If this is true, boys around the world will be dressing up like balls of yarn in hopes that she fiddles with their kibbles and bits.

The Dark Night... Literally

The London premiere of Batman:The Dark Night, brought the stars and London guest together. I couldn’t help but notice a cohesive pattern among the red carpet: darkness. While Heath Ledger’s death and the film’s title evoke a dark tone, it’s summer! Summer is the time for white, pastels and brights. While most of the guests looked stunning, the lack of variation was disappointing. On a brighter note, the film raked in 155.34 Mill during the weekend, at box office, now there is something to smile about!

Why So Serious? A Visual History of the Joker

Edited by

So by now you know that The Dark Knight kicked some major ass at the box office, $158.3 million and counting! For those who have seen it and those who haven’t, Heath Ledger is amazing as the Joker and actually lives up to the hype. For those who aren’t comic book (or graphic novels as they are now being called) nerds like myself, here’s the history of the Joker in images.

‘The Man Who Laughs’ (1928)

Bob Kane (the creator of Batman) used still of Conrad Veidt from this silent film as the intial inspiration for the Joker. In the silent film Veidt played disrespect prince, who’s father carves a smile into his face.

The Killing Joke (1986)

In 1986 Alan Moore gave the Joker some balls back, returning him to the morose, amoral villan he was always mean’t to be. This version of the Joker would have the most impact on Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan’s versions of the Joker
