Elle MacPherson And Her Latest Beauty Drama

When Elle MacPherson sat down for an interview with The Sunday Times she didn’t know she was about to unleash some serious drama. The former model stated that she was an intense advocate of Chinese medicines, most notably the crushed rhino horn pills that she took for her hair and nails. Little did Elle know, the sale of any products from endangered animals, like rhinos, is extremely illegal. As a result of the controversy she was forced to issue a statement this morning saying that she didn’t “knowingly consume or encourage the consumption of products derived from endangered species.” A bit hard to believe, considering she said the pills tasted “a little bit like crushed bone and fungus,” but we’ll give her the benefit of the doubt.

Beer For Beauty, What A Combo

We always seem to come across quite the odd collection of beauty remedies, and I have to admit,  sometimes the weirder the better. So a new beauty secret seemed to make it’s way out of the dark today, and that secret is none other than your favorite beer. Twist off a cap or pop open a can because there’s three great beauty reasons to have this drink stored in your fridge.

For one, since beer is astringent it helps clean all the product out of your hair. Just pour some  on your hair a minute before you shampoo, and your locks will be good to go. And as if the shampoo thing wasn’t good enough, a few of our favorite beauty experts tried the secret remedy as a face mask. Mix one cup of beer, an avocado, a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar, and a tablespoon of honey and there you have it, your very own beer mask! The last one I’m a bit skeptical about, but I’ll let you all test it out for yourselves; it’s the beer bath. Supposedly the bubbly beer bath makes the list as the ultimate experience.
