Fashion Indie spoke with Anat Peri, Director of PR and Marketing for Belegenza Extraordinary Hair Care. Check out the interview for some great tips on hair care.

What makes your product better/different than others on the market?
It’s like the first time, everytime. You know, like when you change products and your hair really loves it! It’s that way everytime…without changing..It’s free of Sodium Laurel Sulfate, Petrolatum, Mineral Oil, Parabens, SD Alcohol. And it’s not only without synthetic conditioning agents, it’s silicone derivative-free (aka dimethicone), which is the future trend. Our products are also not diluted, in a base of Aloe and other plant juices.

Shampoo, rinse, repeat daily?
Shampooing daily is not the best for all hair types. We believe that when you are not using synthetics, the hair stays cleaner longer, and over time, the hair is not “washed and dried” so many times in its lifetime. Imagine washing your favorite dress everyday! Hair that is only 6 inches long has ends that are 1 year old. If you wash it 365 times in a year, don’t you think that is too much? Wash that dress 365 times? Wow.

If I was on a deserted island, which one product should I have with me?
RoMANce Deep Conditioning Treatment! You would use it before getting in the salt water, so that it wouldn’t get trashed by the salt, and then afterward to make it feel like hair after swimming. You could also put it on your poor sunburned skin! Mix it with a lot of water, but in the salon, we use it to soften our hands to restore moisture and soothe after applying haircolors all day!

Which celeb has the best hair?
There are sooo many, and we love Debra Messing’s hair. She looks good with it straight, curled or natural!

Which celeb do you think would benefit from your product?
All of them! Especially those who have extensions, because extensions can do some serious damage. Because we get so many reports of faster growing hair with Belegenza, the conditioning power is excellent, AND the hair seems to grow out faster, thus reducing the need for extensions in the long run. We’d love to see Madonna using Belegenza!

What should you never put into your hair?
SILICONE-derived products (aka dimethicone). They are synthetic, and in our honest opinion, we think they smother the follicles’ ability to grow hair properly!

Market your product in one word: Satisfaction

What’s your take on 2in1?
Depending on the basis of the product and the hair texture… If it’s synthetic based, we don’t really care if it is 2 in 1 or what. It’s just not good for the hair, skin, or scalp! If you use 2 in one it usually doesn’t condition well, nor does it clean very well. Things are just not designed to really work like that, so if your lazy, use it! More than likely though you will need to use it every day!

Worst hair style that you wish would go away?
Mainly just hairstyles that are inappropriate to their hair texture and type. You know the 12 inch ponytail with just 3 strands of hair, or old men with Black ends and white roots.

Comment on Sarah Jessica Parker’s Frizz If she had Simply Straight Progressive Straightner from Belegenza, she wouldn’t have that frizz! (Kat DeLuna won’t go anywhere without us!)

Any plans to expand into body/beauty?

We are working on a Body Wash!!! We already have Simply Young Sking Tightening Spray for your face, and things you want lifted and tightened! We grow and harvest our own Aloe Vera exclusively for this in a very special way. We currently have Seductive Moisture Body Lotion, and will be releasing the next generation, called UnderAge Body Cream!
