AMBI Skincare Sponsored ‘Harlem Heights’ Premier

On Monday March 2nd, AMBI Skincare (a Johnson & Johnson brand dedicated to supporting and empowering women of color) sponsored the pre-reception and premiere screening for BET’s new reality docu-drama “Harlem Heights” at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York. Despite the snowy weather (we weren’t able to attend), media and celebrities alike came out in full force to attend the premiere. “Harlem Heights,” which chronicles the attempts of a group of young black professionals to make it big in New York City, also made its national debut Monday night at 10PM on BET.
Street Zero: T-Painful
Now this has got to be the WORST outfit of the night…T-Pain and his performance in this painfully ugly paisley nightmare at the BET awards. While I do love my people for their massive creativity, it’s moments like this (and ghetto prom 08…y’all know what I’m talking about) that makes me want to scream “stop the madness!” And while Mr. Pain is the last person to receive accolades for his fashion sense, he should have had enough common sense to just say NO to this abominable ensemble. Let’s not give white people another reason to cock their heads to the side in overt curiosity.
Tonight, BET Airs Fashion Blackout
Tonight at 8:30pm, BET is airing its much anticipated special Fashion Blackout. This show will bring together all the big names in black fashion (Naomi Campbell, Andre Leon Talley, Constance White, Tracy Reese and more) to talk about the lack of black presence within the industry.
