style="text-align: left;">As I sit here, staring at my failed attempt of an edgy college dorm transformation, I cannot help but imagine my future SoHo apartment or the decor of Vogue when I replace Anna Wintour. I’m planning on some enormous skylights, exposed brick walls, wood floors and an eclectic array of mix-matched furniture and art. For now, the grimy bathtub and excruciating fluorescent lighting will have to do, but who says a girl can’t plan ahead? I’ve started to gather inspiration from some of my favorite designers, models and writers, photographed by Todd Selby, in their homes and workspaces. Thanks to The Selby, who photographs “interesting people in creative spaces” I can live vicariously through others until I get my big break. style="text-align: left;">This limited edition (obviously) razor is one of fifty made. The only real reason I want this thing is so I can carry it around with me at all times like Leo Dicaprio in Gangs Of New York (despite the fact that it is clearly a breech of homeland security). I really can’t think of very many other things on this planet more badass than this.
<p

Black Sheep and Prodigal Sons is the work of Brooklyn’s Derrick R. Cruz. Inspired by unending energy of the city’s life and fashion scene, Cruz’s densely detailed paintings appear painted on ivory pendants. Some of the dangling animal heads and praying hands may give off a sort of creepy religious yet morbid vibe, but pair one of these with a simple solid v-neck and a blazer and you’ve got yourself one killer look.

Visit Oak wants to take you to the dark side.

To celebrate Fashion Week, Oak has invited some of its favorite local indies, like Vena Cava, Philip Crangi, and Black Sheep and Prodigal Sons, to explore their inner kinks and create limited-edition pieces evoking the idea of bondage. The result is a limited edition collection that will be showcased starting on the 8th for a show called “Bond Age”.

Naughty fashionista’s can find pieces inspired by spanking, voyeurism, and a little S&M at Oak. Be sure to head to the premiere party to get a little extra dirty with cocktails from Belvedere Vodka.
<p
