BANG, you’re IT!

It seems like Marc Jacobs is one who is constantly challenging himself and intriguing his customers in every single way. Remember his past campaigns especially the iconic one with Victoria Beckham poking her head out of a gigantic Marc Jacobs paper bag?

This time, it’s not about campaigns, rather it’s about a facebook game that takes poking to a whole new level. In honour of the new Marc Jacob scent, Bang, he launched a facebook game entitled ‘Bang, you’re it!’ yesterday, and this game involves “banging” (as the title suggests) your friend’s profile pictures, thus giving your mug the same impacted, crumpled look as the Bang fragrance bottle.

The more profiles you “Bang,” the more points you get (bonus points for getting banged by people from other countries, and—appropriately—for getting banged after midnight). One special bang player will be chosen each day to win a prize, including the fragrance, Marc Jacobs clothing, and even an insane trip to NYC to attend the MJ runway show. The fragrance itself is available at Bloomingdale’s and at Marc Jacobs boutiques for $55 for the 1.7 oz. and $75 for the 3.4 oz.

If you were in Soho this weekend then you might have had the pleasure of witnessing half naked 2(x)ist models in the windows of Bloomingdale’s. Perfect timing for NYC Pride 2010. Keep reading for more pictures of the guys…

2(x)ist, Bloomingdale’s SoHo and The Keith Haring Foundation have all teamed up for Pride 2010. All month long, Bloomingdale’s has displayed Keith Haring posters throughout the store, and this past weekend, Haring’s designs came to life on 2(x)ist models in the windows of the Bloomingdale’s SoHo location.

Rumi Neely x RVCA Machinery Dress

Second time ever in a tanning booth..these things freak me out. But they also look awesome.

The pieces I designed for RVCA are out! The Machinery dress is a tribute to Milla Jovovich’s bandage gear in The Fifth Element and the Triad tank is an extremely generously cut and wearable basic. Check them both out on RVCA’s site here – they’ll also be available at Bloomingdale’s and Pacific Sunwear. Thank you to everyone at RVCA who was involved in this collaboration, it’s such an honor to be part of the RVCA family…the way Pat brings together creative people from so many different walks of life is inspiring.

Elizabeth & James Line Doing Very Well

The Olsen twins’ line, Elizabeth & James, is doing quite well, from a celebrity following to big name retailers.

The Olsens have attracted big name celebs such as Heidi Klum, Beyonce and Rihanna, all spotted wearing button-ups from the line.

Both Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s and Kitson in Los Angeles have reported phenomenal sales for the twins’ rags, with the senior VP fashion director at Neiman Marcus calling the line a “bright spot” in dismal season for sales!

Ashley and Mary-Kate are now in talks with footwear giant Steve Madden to design a shoe line as well as a menswear line planned for the fall.

Elizabeth and James’ lowest priced item is a one-shoulder cotton tank for $95, with a leather jacket going for $775 and dresses ranging from $225-$475!!!
