Re(Capsule): Naked & Famous Spring 2010 Collection

My favorite booth at Capsule every year is by far Naked & Famous. The guys are always super energetic, very enthused about their products, and could quite possibly be the best salesmen I have ever met (not that they need to be with product as amazing as theirs). The denim pieces they offer are amazing, and their mixtures of denim with other fabrics result in some of the most unique, high quality jeans in the industry. Here’s a preview of one of their new pairs of jeans that are cross woven with a warm cotton fabric to give you a super comfortable lined pair of denim. That’s all I’m going to show you for now. Check back soon, as I can say for sure right now that I’ll be featuring more from Naked & Famous in the next couple days. If you can’t wait that long, be sure to check out the Naked & Famous website.

INNER-VIEWS OF FASHION: Brandon Svarc Of Naked & Famous Denim

INNER VIEWS OF FASHION: Brandon Svarc Of Naked & Famous Denim

We Are The Market sat down with Brandon Svarc of Naked & Famous Denim.  I headed over to their site to see what it was all about, and couldn’t help but love his attitude:

“The brand name Naked & Famous is a satire of our celeb-obsessed culture. We aim to poke fun at “Hollywood” and “Glamour” brands that sell jeans for $300 and up solely because Jessica Simpson wears them and not because they are higher quality.”

Here’s what he had to say to We Are The Market:
WATM: What are some of the key items/ trends or innovations in the collection for SS10?
BS: We are introducing a 24oz selvedge denim (pictured left), which is the heaviest denim ever created! It’s almost impossible to weave this fabric and equally difficult to cut make and sew.

WATM: What are you currently excited about personally right now?
BS; We found a beautiful leather that I’ve been searching for a while now… it’s a solid 7mm thick bovine leather with beautiful grain (pictured left). It’s one of the thickest leathers in the world, and we’ll make some serious heavy-duty belts from it.

WATM: Where’s your favorite place to visit in Paris?
BS: We sell to the L’Eclaireur boutique on 26 ave des Champs-Élysées, so I really love going there to see our jeans sitting at one of the sharpest stores in Europe. Plus the staff is super friendly and fun to chat with.
I do also like Le Marais, it has a great spirit to it. Plus, Le Marais has Mickey’s Deli where you can get a kosher burger with a fried egg on top!
